A patient support group meeting was organized by Apex Kidney Foundation for the dialysis patients at Prabodhan dialysis centre. This meeting was held on 12th June 2019 from morning 11:00 am to 1:30 pm. In the beginning of the program, breakfast was served to all the patients, relatives and staff members. This was followed by lectures by doctors from Apex Kidney Care.
The speakers and their respective topics were as follows:
Dr. Rajesh Kumar, Consultant Nephrologist and Transplant Physician – Vascular Access Care for Dialysis patients
Dr. Rachana Jasani, Consultant Renal Dietician – Diet in dialysis Patients
Dr Amit Jain, Consultant Nephrologist - Infection control for dialysis patients
Dr. Virendra Gupta, Dialysis Physician – Infection control for dialysis patients
Toward the end of event, We was arranged to give gifts like AKF bag, AV Fistula belt, tourniquet belts, wrist belt, Water bottle, Kabi bite Biscuit to all dialysis patient along with informative brochures. On Diet in Dialysis, Diabetes and Kidney disease, Organ donation.
This program was attended by approximately 53 patients and 20 relatives. All the dialysis related queries were addressed by each and every concerned doctors. A vote of thanks was given towards the end by Dr. Rajesh Kumar.
This session was then concluded by thanks giving to all the AKF volunteers and was followed.
