Course Aims

The course aims at increasing the number of general physicians having knowledge of nephrology in cities as well as small towns. This especially is necessary for a vast country like India where about 1200 qualified nephrologists are serving a population of 1.25 billion. The need of the hour is to have more physicians practicing nephrology and that too in small towns.

This is a training program for motivated physicians which will familiarise with the art of practicing General Nephrology and providing dialysis treatments.

This way the general public will be able to have access to physicians who will be able to take care of their immediate renal issues and can refer them to tertiary hospitals for critical issues only.

This will pave the way to reducing issues caused due to unavailability of experienced doctors to deal with Kidney related diseases.
